Single port PS2 KVM over IP

Port number at which PS/2 KVM over IP switch’s Remote Console server and HTTPS server are listening. If left empty the default value will be used.

. HTTP port

Port number at which PS/2 KVM over IP switch’s HTTP server is listening. If left empty the default value will be used.

. Telnet port

Port number at which PS/2 KVM over IP switch’s Telnet server is listening. If left empty the default value will be used.

. Bandwidth limitation

The maximum network traffic generated through the PS/2 KVM over IP switch Ethernet device. Unit is K bit/s.

. Disable Enterprise Management

With this option you may exclude this PS/2 KVM over IP switch from management.

5.5.1 Dynamic DNS

PS/2 KVM over IP switch provides a Dynamic DNS service that can be used in the following scenario (see Figure 5.13):

PS/2 KVM over IP switch is reachable via the IP address of the DSL router, which is dynamically assigned by the provider. Since the administrator doesn’t know the IP address assigned by the provider, PS/2 KVM over IP switch connects to a special dynamic DNS server in regular intervals and registers its IP address there. The administrator may contact this server as well and pick up the same IP address belonging to his card.

The administrator has to register a PS/2 KVM over IP switch that is supposed to take part in the service with the Dynamic DNS Server. He will get an approved nickname and password in return to the registration process. This account information is needed in order to determine the IP address of the registered PS/2 KVM over IP switch.
