groupofdevicesandmanagementstationrunningSNMP.Communitynamesareusedtoidentifygroups.
TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtosupportSNMPontheSystemOptions>Network>SNMPpage.
Dependingonthelevelofsecurityrequired,selecttheversiononSNMPtouse.
SNMPv1/v2providesthelowestlevelofsecurity.Thecommunitynamecanbespeciedasapasswordforreadorread/write
accesstoallsupportedSNMPdevices.ThedefaultpasswordfortheReadcommunityispublicandthedefaultpasswordforthe
Writecommunityiswrite.

IfHTTPSisenabled,SNMPv1andSNMPv2cshouldbedisabled.
TrapsforSNMPv1/v2areusedbytheAxisproducttosendmessagestoamanagementsystemonimportanteventsandstatus
changes.CheckEnabletrapsandentertheIPaddresswherethetrapmessageshouldbesentandtheTrapcommunitythat
shouldreceivethemessage.

SNMPv3providesencryptionandsecurepasswords.TousetrapswithSNMPv3,anSNMPv3managementapplicationisrequired.

password.

TheAxisproductincludessupportforUPnPTM.UPnPTMisenabledbydefaultandtheproductisautomaticallydetectedbyoperating
systemsandclientsthatsupportthisprotocol.

RTP/H.264
TheRTPportrangeandmulticastsettingsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Network>RTP.
TheRTPportrangedenestherangeofportsfromwhichthevideo/audioportsareautomaticallyselected.Formulticaststreams,
onlycertainIPaddressesandportnumbersshouldbeused.
SelectAlwaysMulticastVideoand/orAlwaysMulticastAudiotostartmulticaststreamingwithoutopeninganRTSPsession.
Bonjour
TheAxisproductincludessupportforBonjour.Bonjourisenabledbydefaultandtheproductisautomaticallydetectedbyoperating
systemsandclientsthatsupportthisprotocol.
BonjourcanbedisabledunderSystemOptions>Network>Bonjour.
