4.2Verifying the Link Between the Ethernet Card and DSL9100R

i)From your Windows taskbar, click Start > Run.

ii)In the text box, enter ping 192.168.1.1 -tand click OK.

(The factory default IP Address for DSL9100R is set at 192.168.1.1. Replace this address with the one assigned by your System Administrator, if necessary.)

iii)If the connection between your Ethernet card and DSL9100R has been established, you should see strings of text similar to the listings shown below.

Close the window. (If you see 'Request timed out' listing, it means that the link between your Ethernet Card and DSL9100R has not been established. Refer to Appendix B - Troubleshooting Guide, 'I get 'Request timed out' response when I ping to DSL9100R'.)

You are now ready to run the DSL Router Commander. Please refer to DSL Router Commander Software Manual on your DSL900/9000 Router Series CD-ROM.
