Set the peak limiter - The peak limiter is designed to limit the maximum level of bass inform ation. When set to
0.0 dB (default) the limiter is disabled. If your system is being used with a subwoof er not incorporating it ’s own
limiter or have no subwoofer, then the peak limiter may need to be set to allow proper operation.
Warning - the peak limiter test tone may result in extremely high volume levels
Peak limiter level calibration allows you to set the ma ximum obtaina ble volum e sent to the speak ers reprod ucing
bass information. For best results it is important that you p erform this calibration when you initially install your
processor, or whenever you change speakers. You set this parameter by ear using th e test tone supplied when
entering the peak limiter. Sit in your normal listening spot. Check that you are in SETUP CROS SOVERS + LFE
and that your remote is in B&K mode. Moving to Peak Limiter and pressing SE L or ENT ER activates a nois e test
tone which will aid in adjusting the level to the point at which the bass speakers sound l ike they are having
difficulty reproducing the test tone. Once this level is achie ved, reduce the adjus tment 1 dB and press the SEL
button on the remote to save the peak limit setting. If the level is increased all th e way to 0 dB with no per ceived
distortion, then just leave the setting at 0 dB. If the correc t values is k nown, the peak lim iter may be set wi thout
the use of the test tone.
