OPERATION
The following outlines the normal day-to-day operation of your processor f rom the supplied universal rem ote or
directly from your processor’s front panel. The universal remote is also capable of c ontroll in g other eq ui pm ent and
storing sequences of commonly used commands. All operations described below ref er to the B&K Components
Ltd. AV 7.1 System Remote Controller. Refer to the separate remote manual f or details on these functions.

POWER ON/OFF

The main power switch on the front panel of your processor must be on for the processor to operate. W hen this
switch is off all power is removed from your processor. This prevents turning it back on with th e remote control.
You can use the main power switch for normal day to day operation but we su ggest you use the sleep fun ction
instead so that the processor can be turned on and off from the remote. Af ter turning on the main power you must
wait a few seconds while your processor restores its internal mem ory. You may want to turn of f the main power
switch when your processor will be idle for extended periods of time or dur ing periods of power line f luctuations.
Your processor will not lose its memory while the main power s witch is off.

SLEEP

Normally you will simply put your processor to sleep (standby) when not in use. Sleep mode keeps a bare
minimum of functions running in order to allow remote control operation and fast star t up. No te th at the f r ont p ane l
SLEEP button is lit while your processor is asleep and is of f when your proc essor is operating . Also note t hat the
remote POWER button is a ‘power toggle’ and will put your processor in and out of sleep. OFF will alwa ys put the
processor into sleep. B&K or AUDIO will always wake up your processor and set the remote to control the
processor
