Basic A50 Operation

Answering A Call

1. If the handset is off of the base, press the button to receive the call.

-Or-

1.If the handset is in the base, lift the handset to receive the call.

2.Adjust your Volume and Tone settings if needed (See page #16 for information on adjusting Volume & Tone controls).

3.On completion of the call press the button or return to base or charger.

Making A Call

1. Press the

button and wait for a dial tone.

2.Dial the telephone number.

3.Adjust your Volume and Tone setting if needed.

4.To end the call, just press the button or return to base or charger.

NOTE: During a call, press the “F” button to get a new dial tone for another call or switch to call waiting (See page below for additional information).

Using The Pre-Dialing Mode

By using the keypad to pre-enter the desired telephone number will insure the correct telephone number will be dialed.

1.In standby mode, dial your desired number. The numbers will appear on the CALLER ID screen. You can press “F” button to delete the incorrect digits.

2. If the phone number is correct, press

button and it will be dialed automati-

cally. Then you start your conversation.

 

Using The Last Number Redial

The last number dialed is stored in the redial memory until another number is dialed. To use the redial feature quickly:

1. Press the button and listen for the dial tone.

2. Press the “R/P” button. The phone will redial up to 24 digits automatically.

Using the Flash Feature

The “F” button is used to disconnect a call and re-establish dial tone or to switch over to another caller if you use calling services such as Call Waiting or Three Way Calling. Please contact your local telephone company for information on these services.

1. During a call press the “F” button to access the flash feature.
