Trouble shooting
ere are many external inuences and circumstances beyond the control of BenQ which may
be causing problems with your display. Some of the more common and user xable problems
are listed below for your information.
Please check the following list before calling your nearest BenQ Customer Service Center, and
attempt the following steps to diagnose and x the problem yourself:
Symptoms Possible causes
e display does not
turn ON
•CheckthatthepowerplugissecurelyinsertedintoboththeAC-
IN socket on the display and the wall outlet, and that the wall
outlet is switched on (if switched).
•Checkthatpowerisavailablefromthepoweroutletbytrying
another known working appliance (e.g. desk lamp) from that
same power outlet.
ere is no picture or
sound
•Checkthatthedisplayisturnedon(epowerindicatorshould
be blue).
•Tryadierentinputsourcetoconrmifthesymptomisstill
present or whether the source is at fault.
•Checkformis-connectionofcablesforthatinput.
•Adjustthevolumecontroltocheckthatisn'tturneddown.
•MakesurethattheSpeakerOutoptionintheAudiomenuisnot
set to O.
Improper screen
position or size
•Tryselectingadierentaspectratio.
•Tryadierentinputsourcetoconrmifthesymptomisstill
present or whether the source is at fault.
e image appears
distorted
•Ensurethedisplay'saspectratioiscorrectlysettosuittheimage
source.

"Notsupported"
appears
e PC VGA output signal resolution is set too high. 1920 × 1080 @
60Hz is the highest acceptable PC timing.
