￿Press one of the buttons 1 - 5 :to se- lect a programme type that is assigned to one of these buttons.

The selected programme type appears briefly on the display.

￿Press the or button 6 to start seek tuning.

The radio will then tune into the next station that it finds that corresponds to your select- ed programme type.

￿Press and hold the desired station but- ton 1 - 5 : for longer than two sec- onds.

Optimising radio reception

Treble reduction feature during interference (HICUT)

The HICUT function improves reception during poor radio reception (only FM). If reception interferences are present, the in- terference level is automatically reduced.

Switching HICUT on/off

￿Press the MENU•OK button 7. “TUNER MENU” appears on the display.

￿Press the MENU•OK button 7to dis- play the tuner menu.

￿Press the or button 6repeatedly until “HICUT” appears on the display.

￿Press the or button 6 to adjust the HICUT setting.

“HICUT 0” means that no automatic reduc- tion of the interference level will be made; “HICUT 2” means that a maximum reduc- tion will be made.

￿Press the MENU•OK button 7 and then the DIS•ESC button 5to exit the menu.

SHARX

The SHARX function allows you to largely avoid interference caused by neighbour- ing radio stations (FM only). Switch on the SHARX function if the density of radio sta- tions in your area is very high.
