TIM standby mode while the radio is switched off

When the radio is off, you can set the TIM timer such that the broadcast traffic messa- ges will be automatically recorded at the programmed times. To recall these messa- ges, proceed as described above.

Programming the TIM standby mode / TIM times

You can programme two TIM times (TIMER 1 and TIMER 2).

For example, TIMER 1 could be the time when leaving home in the morning, TIMER 2 the time when driving home after work.

The TIM times to be programmed should correspond to the approximate times of de- parture. The radio then records all traffic in- formation broadcast for 90 minutes before - and after - this time, i.e. lasting a total of three hours.

Attention: During this period, a motor an- tenna will remain extracted. Note the corre- sponding warning note at the end of this chapter.
