INSTALACIÓN

El sistema de generador de doméstico viene preparado de

fábrica para funcionar a gas natural. Si necesita cambiar gas natural a LP, se deberá reconfigurar la unidad, tal como se describe en la página 50.

Es conveniente que la conexión de combustible incorpore los siguientes componentes:

Una válvula de cierre manual de combustible ubicada en el interior del edificio.

Una válvula de cierre manual de combustible ubicada fuera del edificio, justo antes del generador.

En caso de peligro de formación de hidratos o hielo, los tubos se deberán proteger contra la congelación. En uno de los extremos del circuito de tubos rígidos debe haber un depósito de sedimentos en el que no se congele el vapor de agua condensado.

Se debe contar también con una abertura para manómetro.

La abertura para el manómetro permite la instalación transitoria de un manómetro (Figura 17) para asegurar que el motor reciba la presión de combustible apropiada para funcionar en forma eficiente durante todo el rango de operación.

Una vez que las operaciones de prueba iniciales están completas, se retira el manómetro y se tapa la abertura. En la Figura 18 se muestra un conjunto típico de conexión de combustible final.
