Lubricating the Front Casters

Interval: Annually

1.Remove the 1/4-28 bolt (A, Figure 10) that is screwed into the caster and install a 1/4-28 grease fitting.

2.Grease the front caster.

3.Remove the 1/4-28 grease fitting and reinstall the 1/4-28 bolt.

4.Repeat the process for the other side of the machine.

Cleaning the Battery and Cables

1. Disconnect the cables from the battery, negative

 

cable first (B, Figure 11).

2. Clean the battery terminals and cable ends with a

wire brush until shiny.

 

 

3. Reinstall the battery and reattach the battery

 

cables, positive cable first (A)

4. Coat the cable ends and battery terminals wi h

 

petroleum jelly or non-conducting grease.

 

WARNING

 

 

When removing or installing battery cables,

 

disconnect the negative cable FIRST and

 

reconnect it LAST. If not done in this ord r, the

 

positive terminal can be shorted to the frame by
