To us e the printer safely
Caution
Use water or neutral detergents for cleaning. Cleaning with volatile liquids such as thinner or benzene
will damage the surf ace of the printer.
Do not use cleaning materials that contain ammonia. They wil l damage the pr inter and the toner
cartridge.
After y ou hav e just u sed the pri nter, s ome parts i nside the print er will b e ex tremely hot . Whe n yo u
open the front or back cover of t he prin ter , never tou ch the sh aded par ts shown in the ill ust ratio ns
below.
There are high voltage electrodes inside the printer. Before you clean the printer, clear a paper jam
or replace parts, make sure you have turned off the power switch and unplugged the print e r from
the AC power outlet.
Do not handle the plug with wet hands - it might give you an electrical shock.
