Setting Dialing Mode (Tone/Pulse)

Your machine comes set to accommodate tone (multi-frequency) dialing service. If you have pulse (rotary) dialing service, you need to change the dialing mode.

1For the FAX, press Function , 1 , 1 . For the MFC, press Function , 1 , 1 , 1 .

2 Use or to select dialing mode

DIALING:TONE?

and press Set .

SELECT <- -> & SET

DIALING:PULSE?

SELECT <- -> & SET

3Press Stop to exit.

Setting Date and Time

Your machine displays the date and time, and prints it on every fax you send.

In the event of a power failure, you may have to reset the date and time. All other settings remain unaffected.

1For the FAX, press Function , 1 , 2 . For the MFC, press Function , 1 , 1 , 2 .

2Enter the last two digits of the year and press Set .

3Enter two digits for the month and press Set . (For example, enter 09 for

September, or 10 for October).

4Enter two digits for the day and press Set . (For example, 06).

5Enter the time in 24-hour format and press Set . (For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 PM).

ENTER & SET

6Press Stop .

The screen now displays the date and time you set, and displays it whenever the machine is standing by.
