Scan to Image

You can scan a black and white or color document into your graphics application for viewing and editing.

a Load your document.

b Press (SCAN).

c Press a or b to choose Scan to Image. Press OK.

d Press Black Start or Color Start.

The machine starts the scanning process.

Scan to OCR

If your original document is text, you can use ScanSoft™ PaperPort™12SE or Presto! PageManager to scan the document and convert it into a text file which can then be edited in your favorite word processing software.

a Load your document.

b Press (SCAN).

c Press a or b to choose Scan to OCR. Press OK.

d Press Black Start or Color Start.

The machine starts the scanning process.

Scan to File

You can scan a black and white or a color document into your computer and save it as a file in the folder you choose. The file type and specific folder are based on your chosen settings in the Scan to File configuration

screen of ControlCenter. (For Windows®, see Scan tab on page 59 when choosing Home mode, see Scan tab on page 70 when choosing Advanced mode. For Macintosh, see SCAN on page 154.)
