Option 44 — Super Comfort Heat

This option is only available on heat pump units HP (HP, H2, hh, and h2) when Option 41 (Variable Speed Blower) is set to On and the system has a valid OAT sensor.

OF (Off) - Comfort Heat is off On - Comfort Heat feature is on.

If the outdoor air temperature is between 12 - 40_F/-11 - 4_C and the compressor is running in heating, then the fan output is turned off. This will signal the variable speed blower to reduce the air speed. The fan output is turned off even if the user has the fan selection set to continuous fan. The fan output will be turned back on in this temperature range if the maximum capacity of auxiliary heat is on due to system demand (auxiliary heat on in response to a defrost signal shouldn’t cause the fan to turn back on).

If the outdoor air temperature is below 12_F/-11_C and there is sufficient demand for the equipment to be on, then the fan output is turned back on and the W/W1 output is energized. In a two speed unit the Y/Y2 output should be energized in addition to the W/W1 output. This logic does not apply to a hybrid heat system. In the unlikely event that the installer has selected a heat pump lockout temperature (Option 09) of 5_F/-15_C in a hybrid heat system and the comfort heat feature is on, then the comfort heat feature will turn the W/W1 on and the compressors off when the outdoor air temperature drops below 12_F/-11_C instead of at the lower temperature of 5_F/-15_C.

NOTE: All temperature boundaries have a +/- 2_ hysteresis Factory default is OF (Off).

A07048, A07049 specifications

The Bryant A07049 and A07048 are notable entries in the line of ductless mini-split systems designed for efficient heating and cooling. These models are well-regarded for their robust performance and innovative features that cater to both residential and light commercial applications.

One of the main features of the Bryant A07049 and A07048 is their advanced inverter technology. This technology allows the units to modulate their compressor speed, resulting in a more consistent indoor temperature. By adjusting cooling or heating output based on real-time demand, the units enhance energy efficiency while providing quiet operation and improved comfort.

The cooling capacity of the Bryant A07049 is rated at 7,000 BTUs, making it suitable for medium-sized rooms, whereas the A07048 has a slightly lower capacity, ideal for smaller spaces. Both models excel in providing rapid temperature control, allowing users to enjoy their desired environment swiftly. The quiet operation is a significant advantage, with sound levels as low as 24 decibels, making them perfect for bedrooms, offices, or other noise-sensitive environments.

Installation flexibility is another remarkable characteristic of the Bryant A07049 and A07048. Their ductless design eliminates the need for extensive ductwork, simplifying installation processes. Both models come with easy-mount wall brackets, and the refrigerant lines can be run through a small, discreet opening in the wall, maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the living space.

Energy efficiency is a standout feature of these models, boasting high Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) ratings. This high-efficiency operation not only reduces energy bills but also minimizes environmental impact. Additionally, both models include a built-in programmable thermostat that allows users to schedule their heating and cooling preferences, enhancing convenience and further optimizing energy use.

The Bryant A07049 and A07048 also feature a multi-stage filtration system. This advanced filtration captures dust, allergens, and other particulate matter, promoting cleaner air circulation which is particularly beneficial for those with allergies or respiratory conditions.

In summary, the Bryant A07049 and A07048 mini-split systems deliver versatility, energy efficiency, and user-friendly operation. Their modern design, quiet performance, and advanced technologies make them excellent choices for individuals or businesses looking to enhance comfort while being mindful of energy consumption. Whether used for supplementary heating or cooling, these units are engineered to meet a variety of climate control needs effectively.
