Im Anschluss erneut den Aktivierungsknopf drücken und festhalten, um den Laserstrahl langsam über die Flagge oder das gewünschte Objekt zu führen, bis der Flaggenanzeiger von einem Kreis umgeben wird. Wenn der Laserstrahl mehrere Objekte erkennt, (z.B. Flagge und Bäume im Hintergrund), wird die Entfernung zur Flagge angezeigt. Ein Kreis umgibt den PinSeeker Anzeiger und informiert den Benutzer, dass die Entfernung bis zur Flagge (d.h. das näher liegende Objekt) im LCD-Display angezeigt wird (wie unten zu sehen ist). Es kann vorkommen, dass der Laserstrahl nur ein Objekt auf seinem Weg ertastet. In diesem Fall wird nur diese einzelne Entfernung angezeigt. Da in diesem Fall nicht mehrere Objekte geortet wurden, wird auch der Flaggenanzeiger von keinem Kreis umgeben.

TIP: Während dem Drücken des Aktivierungsknopfes kann das Gerät langsam von Objekt zu Objekt geführt und der Laserstrahl absichtlich gezwungen werden mehrere Objekte zu treffen, damit sichergestellt wird, dass nur die nächstgelegenen vom Laserstrahl erkannten Objekte angezeigt werden.

Nach dem Abschalten stellt sich das Gerät immer auf den zuletzt verwendeten Modus zurück.
