Quando i limiti superiore e/o inferiore del bersaglio sono più grandi dei mil sul reticolo, la misurazione può avvenire per fasi successive e l’angolo può essere ottenuto sommando il valore di ogni fase. (la procedura sarà simile a quella illustrata

nella sezione precedente sulle misurazioni lineari).

Come usare il reticolo per misurare la distanza

La distanza di un bersaglio può essere calcolata usando il reticolo mil. Fare riferimento all’esempio della Fig. 5. (Nota: lo stesso principio e la stessa formula si applicano quando viene usato il reticolo verticale di ogni modello di binocolo Tactical; la Fig.5 mostra solo il reticolo del modello 280750).

Formula per la misurazione della distanza: L(km)=H(m)/w L= distanza fra l’osservatore e il bersaglio (in chilometri).

H = altezza del bersaglio (in metri)

w = angolo superiore e inferiore dell’azimut del bersaglio misurato con il reticolo del binocolo (mil).

Nel misurare la distanza, stimare innanzitutto l’altezza o la larghezza del bersaglio, quindi misurare l’angolo superiore e inferiore del bersaglio. Pertanto, è possibile calcolare la distanza fra l’osservatore e il bersaglio usando la formula.

Per esempio:

L’oggetto è un faro la cui altezza sembra essere circa 30 metri (H=30)

L’angolo superiore e inferiore del faro, misurati con il reticolo della Fig. 5, è 0 – 60 mil (w=60) Pertanto, usando la formula: L=H/w=30/60=0,5 km

Quindi: la distanza fra l’osservatore e il faro è 0,5 km.
