4.3 TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST

If the 2E4X-27R is not working properly, refer to Table 4-4 for a checklist

of possible problems, causes, and recommended actions to resolve the

problem.

All LEDs are OFF. Loss of power. Check for proper connection

Installed improperly. Check the installation.

Terminal setup is not

Improper console cable

Cannot contact the

and delete unnecessary

2.Call the Cabletron Systems
GCC if the problem
continues.
User parameters (IP
address, Device and
Module name, etc.)
were lost when the
2E4X-27R power
was cycled or the
front panel RESET
button was pressed.
Mode switch (7), NVRAM
Reset, was changed
sometime before either
cycling power or
pressing the RESET
button causing the
user-entered parameters
to reset to factory default
settings.
1. Reenter the lost
parameters as necessary.
