Discovery Cache Table View

This view provides the information recieved by the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP). It provides the following information:

Type

Displays the type of address contained in the corresponding Address Þeld described below.

Address

Displays the network layer of the deviceÕs SNMP-agent as reported in the most recent CDP message.

Device ID

Displays the Device-ID. A zero indicates no Device-ID was reported.

Device Port

Displays the Port-ID. A zero indicates no Port-ID was reported.

Platform

Displays the devices hardware platform.

Capabilities

Displays the devices functional capabilities.

Interface Discovery Status Table

This table contains the status of Cisco Discovery Protocol on the device's interfaces. It provides the following information:

Discovery

Displays information about the type of devices in the network, conÞguration information about the links connecting those devices, and the number of interfaces within each device.

Group

Displays the group number of the repeater port which corresponds to this interface.

Port

Displays the port number of the repeater port which corresponds to this interface.

Interval

Displays the interval at which the CDP messages are to be generated on this interface. The default value is 60 seconds.
