NOTE: There are separate XMT, RCV, CP, and POK LEDs for each port on the NB20E and NB25E.

TRANSMIT (XMT) LED

When this green LED is flashing, the bridge is transmitting packets to that network segment.

RECEIVE (RCV) LED

When this yellow LED is flashing, bridge is receiving a data packet from that segment.

COLLISION PRESENT (CP) LED

When this red LED is flashing, a collision is occurring on that segment.

PORT OK (POK) LED

This green LED is lit to indicate that the transceiver is connected, and that the port has passed an internal Loop Back Test and is ready for transmission.

4.3USING THE FORWARD BROADCAST SWITCH

The Forward Broadcast switch, Figure 4-1, allows the user to select whether the bridge will forward broadcast messages from one network segment to the other. When the switch is in the On () position, the bridge will allow broadcast messages to pass.
