Before Installing ScanGear (Scanner Driver)

Check the following points before installing ScanGear (scanner driver). Check these also when you cannot install ScanGear.

Machine Status

If the machine is connected to the computer, disconnect the USB cable.

Computer Settings

Close all running applications.

In Windows Vista, log on to an administrator account.

In Windows XP, log on as the administrator of the computer.

In Windows 2000, log on as a member of the Administrators group.

Note

If an older version of ScanGear is already installed, delete (uninstall) it beforehand.
