Using Plain Paper or High Resolution Paper

Make sure that the printer is switched on and the paper thickness lever is
set to the Up position. Raise the paper rest as shown in the figure.
When you are using plain paper for printing, the print side of the paper ma y
be scratched and stained if the paper is thick. In this case, set the paper
thickness lever to the Down position.
