P.Fn-07Repeats bracketing during continuous shooting

OWhile you hold down the shutter button, bracketing repeats continuously in the currently selected drive mode.

OThis function is useful when you want to continuously repeat the bracketing sequence.

P.Fn-08Sets the number of shots to be bracketed

OSelect the number of shots from the list box.

OThe usual 3-shot bracketing is changed to 2-, 3-, 5-, or 7-shot bracketing.

OIn bracketing shots, if you select 5-shot bracketing with 1-stop increment, the bracketing for the shots is –2, –1, 0, +1 and +2.

OThis function is useful for adjusting the range of bracketing.

O Even when the setting is outside the bracketing level display range, the exposure is compensated as specified.

OThis function can be used in combination with C.Fn-09-2/3 and P.Fn-09.

P.Fn-09Changes the bracketing sequence for C.Fn-09-2/3 to increased exposure, standard exposure, and decreased exposure

OThe bracketing sequence when C.Fn-09-2/3 is selected (decreased exposure J standard exposure J increased exposure) changes to increased exposure J standard exposure J decreased exposure.

OThis function is useful when you want to start the bracketing sequence with a increased exposure.

This function can be used in combination with P.Fn-08.

P.Fn-10Retains the shift amount for program shift

ONormally, any program shift amount is canceled after you take the picture. This Personal Function retains the program shift amount.

OThis function is useful when you want to shift the standard program line so that priority is given to the shutter speed or to the aperture.

By shifting the program, you can change the shutter speed or aperture and still retain the same exposure level. Under the same brightness, you can shift the program line toward the right to set a faster shutter speed and a larger aperture (lower f/number). Or you can shift the program line toward the left to set a slower shutter speed and a smaller aperture (higher f/number).

P.Fn-10 retains the amount of program shift. Select the appropriate amount of shift for the level of priority you want to give to the shutter speed or aperture setting.

Standard program line

Program line shifted toward a faster shutter speed.

With EF50mm f/1.4 USM

O The program shift amount remains in effect until you set it back to the standard program manually or replace the battery or press the <CLEAR> button.

OThe shift amount is retained even after you change the lens.

P.Fn-13Executes AI Servo AF continuous shooting giving priority to the drive speed

OThis function is compatible with the EOS-1D only.

ODuring continuous shooting, shutter release-priority takes effect instead of focus-priority.

OEffective when it is more important to capture an image even though it might be slightly out of focus.
