Getting More Out of Your Camera

This chapter serves as the advanced version of Chapter 4 and explains how to take pictures using various functions.

This chapter assumes that the mode dial is set to G.

The sections “Setting the Shutter Speed” (p. 100), “Setting the Aperture Value” (p. 101), “Setting the Shutter Speed and Aperture Value” (p. 102), assume that the mode dial is set to these modes.

The section “Adjusting the Flash Output” (p. 106) assumes that the mode dial is set to D.

This chapter explains the modes available in “Changing the Color and

Shooting” (p. 109) and “Shooting Stitch Assist Images” (p. 112), and assumes the mode dial is set to K.

Before attempting to shoot using a function explained in this chapter in modes other than G mode, check if the function is available in those modes (pp. 180 183).
