Movies or photos cannot be recorded properly.

-This may occur as movies and photos are recorded/deleted over time. Save your recordings (A129) and initialize the memory (A41).

Cannot record a photo while recording movies.

-You cannot take photos in mode, while the digital zoom is activated (A49) or while fading in or fading out a scene (A101).

After using the camcorder for a long time, it becomes hot.

-The camcorder may become hot after using it continuously for long periods of time; this is not a malfunction. If the camcorder becomes unusually hot or it becomes hot after using it only for a short while, it may indicate a problem with the camcorder. Consult a Canon Service Cen- ter.

Cannot create a new story.

-A memory can contain a maximum of 98 user-created stories. Delete some stories from the gallery (A63) or select a different memory (A39).

Playback

Cannot copy/move scenes in a story.

- The memory is full. Delete some recordings (A60, 118) to free some space.

Cannot delete a scene.

- You may not be able to delete scenes recorded or edited using another device and then transferred to a memory card connected to a computer.

Deleting scenes takes longer than usual.

-When the memory contains a large number of scenes, some operations may take longer than usual. Save your recordings (A129) and initialize the memory (A41).

Cannot capture a video snapshot scene from a movie.

-You cannot capture video snapshot scenes from scenes recorded or edited using another device and then transferred to a memory card connected to the computer. Also, you cannot capture scenes that are from movies converted to standard definition (*/)/( only) or MP4 movies.

-The memory is full. Delete some recordings (A60, 118) to free some space.
