Selecting the Frame Rate

You can change the frame rate (the number of frames recorded per second) to change the look of your movies. When recording MP4 mov-

ies, the frame rate will be [ 25P]. Operating modes:

2 Select the frame rate.[ Other Settings] >r>[Frame Rate] > Desired frame rate >[X]

Options ( Default value)

[µ50i (Standard)] 50 fields per second, interlaced. Standard frame rate of PAL analog TV signals.

[¸PF25]** Shooting at 25 frames per second, progressive*. Using this frame rate will give your recordings a cinematic look.

Recording in mode will further enhance the effect.

* Recorded as 50i.

NOTES

• The frame rate can be set independently for and modes.Special Scene Recording Programs and Programmed AE

Recording in a very bright ski resort or capturing the full colors of a sunset or a fireworks display becomes as easy as selecting a Special Scene recording program.

On the other hand, you can select the Programmed AE (AE: auto expo- sure) recording program. With this recording program, the camcorder automatically adjusts the shutter speed and aperture while you are able to adjust the other settings.
