Using the Built-In Flash

Mode Dial

Use the flash according to the guidelines below.

Auto with red-eyeThe flash fires automatically as required by

* reduction the lighting level, and the red-eye reduction lamp fires each time the main flash fires.

1 Press the button to switch between flash modes.

z The selected flash mode appears on the display panel. It will also be displayed on the LCD Monitor if the monitor is on.

z You can switch between settings by pressing the button. Some settings are not available with certain shooting modes (p. 206).
