Getting More Out of Your Camera

This chapter serves as the advanced version of Chapter 4 and explains how to take pictures using various functions.

This chapter assumes that you have set the mode dial to G.

The sections “Setting the Shutter Speed” (p. 98), “Setting the Aperture Value” (p. 99), “Setting the Shutter Speed and Aperture Value” (p. 100), assume that you have set the mode dial to the corresponding mode.

The section “Adjusting the Flash Output” (p. 107) assumes that you have set the mode dial to D.

The sections “Changing the Color and Shooting” (p. 109) and “Shooting

Stitch Assist Images” (p. 112) assume that you have set the mode dial to Kand chosen the corresponding mode.

Before attempting to shoot using a function explained in this chapter in modes other than Gmode, check if the function is available in those modes (pp. 182 185).
