Aperture is adjusted automatically.

If the shutter speed is set to 1/1000 or higher in CAMERA mode and you switch to CARD CAMERA mode, it automatically changes to 1/500.

If the shutter speed is set to 1/4 or slower in CARD CAMERA mode and you switch to CAMERA mode, it automatically changes to 1/8.

If you set a shutter speed that is either too high or too low for the recording condition, the indicator flashes. Increase or decrease the setting until the flashing stops.

Recording under fluorescent lights in CAMERA mode: When the camcorder is set to Easy Recording, Auto, Night or Super Night mode, it automatically detects the flicker of fluorescent lighting and adjusts the shutter speed accordingly. However, if the brightness of the screen starts to flicker, select Tv mode and set the shutter speed to 1/100.

When recording in dark places, we recommend using the Video Flash Light VFL-1 or Video Light VL-3 (both optional).
