Guidelines for Recording with High Shutter Speeds:

- Outdoor sports such as golf or tennis: 1/2000

- Moving objects such as cars or roller coasters: 1/1000, 1/500 or 1/250

- Indoor sports such as basketball: 1/100

-Do not point the camcorder directly at the sun when the shutter speed is set to 1/1000 or higher.

-The image may flicker when recording with high shutter speeds.

Guidelines for Recording with Slow Shutter Speeds (CAMERA mode: 1/8, 1/15,

1/30; CARD CAMERA mode: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30):

-Use a slow shutter in dimly lit places, when panning on a moving subject or to create a trailing effect.

-The image quality may be slightly lower when recording with slow shutter speeds.

-Autofocus may not work with slow shutter speeds. In such case, adjust the focus manually.
