3. Select the symbol you want to insert, then pres s the Center Select
Key [OK].
Text Input with the Flip Closed
With the flip closed, you can enter or edit Messages and C ontacts
using the front Alphanumeric Keypad.
To perform the Text Input operation described in this section with
your handset, open the text entry screen following the steps be low to
create the new Text Massage:
1. With the flip closed, to unloc k the handset, press the Center Select
Key, and then press at the prompt.
2. Press the Message Composer Key .
3. Press the Directional Key / down to go to the Tex t field.
NOTES
With the flip closed, you can enter or edit a text message in a ny
of the following entry modes: T9 Word, Abc, ABC, 123, or T9
Palabra.
Entry mode cannot be changed while entering or editing a
contact.

Shift: Press to change case.
T9 Word: T9 Word m T9 WORD m T9 wo rd
Abc text: Abc m ABC m abc
T9 Palabra: T9 Palabra m T9 PALA. m T9 palabra
Next: When in T9 Word or T9 Palabra mode, press to display
other words.
Space: Press to complete a word and insert a space.
Clear: Press to delete a single space or character. Press and
hold to delete entire words.
