NOTE

The 3G or 1x service indicator icon on the top line of the m ain

display is highlighted to indicate that the PTT service is available.

Calling from PTT Contact Li st (Barge)

1. With the flip closed, to unloc k the handset, press the Center Select

Key, and then press  at the prompt.

2. Press the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to access your PTT

Contact List.

3. Scroll to the PTT Contact entry yo u wish to call.

4. Press and hold the Red Side Key/PTT Key . Wait until the

“OK to Talk” tone sounds and the message “Talking to” appears

on the display. Speak while holding the Red Side Key/PTT Key

.

5.

Release the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to let the other par ty talk.

6. Press the End/Power Key to end the call.

NOTE

With the flip open, you can also perform the sa me operation by

pressing the Red Side Key/PTT Key .

Calling from PTT Contact Li st (Alert)

You can send an alert to any user with Verizon Wireless PTT se rvice.

The user may answer or ignore the alert.

1. From idle mode with the flip ope n, press the Red Side Key/PTT Key

 to access your PTT Contact Li st.

2. Scroll to the PTT Contact entry you wi sh to call.

3. Press the Left Soft Key [Alert]. The message “Press R ed Side

Key/PTT Key to Alert” will appear on the display.

4. Press and release the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to aler t the

selected individual.

The “PTT Outgoing Alert ” tone will sound, and “Alerting” will

appear on the display.
