Currency exchange function
When <CE1> or <CE2> key is pressed, a current subtotal including tax is converted directly into foreign currency and the result is displayed, and the subsequent finalization is handled using the foreign currency. The currency exchange function is released by finalizing a transaction, partial tender operation, receipt issuance, or by pressing <SUBTOTAL>.
Before using the currency exchange function, it is necessary to program the conversion rate.

Important!
Tenders in a foreign currency can be registered using the aand konly.
Other finalize keys cannot be used.

Es5 Press Eand swithout entering a numeric value. This operation converts the subtotal (in- cluding tax) dollar value into yen by applying a
(5,000)and press E. This operation converts the entered yen amount into dollars by applying a preprogrammed exchange rate. The result is shown on the display.
a5 Press to finalize the transaction. Note that you do not need to reenter the dollar amount.
The register automatically calculates the change amount due in dollars and shows it on the dis- play, receipts and journal.
