Establishing a Wireless LAN Connection between the XJ-S35/YP-100 and a Computer

Note the following precautions when trying to establish a wireless LAN connection between the XJ-S35/YP-100 and a computer.

zThe XJ-S35/YP-100 comes with Wireless Connection, which is a previous version of the wireless connection software. Do not try to perform the procedures in this manual using the older version of Wireless Connection. Be sure to install Wireless Connection 2, which is the newest version, on your computer.

zThe XJ-S35/YP-100 does not have manual connection (page 7) initial values registered. Before performing the procedures in this manual, it is recommended that you first use the procedure under “Sending Settings from a Computer to the Data Projector” (page 34) to send Manual Connection 1, Manual Connection 2, and Manual Connection 3 connection profile settings from your computer to the projector.

Connection Profiles

The Data Projector has two types of connection profiles named “simple connection” (1, 2, and 3) and “manual connection” (1, 2, and 3).

You should use a simple connection profile to establish a wireless LAN connection between the Data Projector and a single computer using initial default settings. You can use a manual connection profile to change the initial default settings and establish a wireless LAN connection between the Data Projector and up to four computers.

When you want to do this:

Refer to this section of this manual:
