NOTE:Usingatestlight,ensurethecigarettelighteroutletbeingusedisignitionswitched.Powermustnotbe
presentwiththeignitionintheOFFposition.
1.Disconnectandisolatethebatterynegativecable.
2.Pulluponshifterknob(3)andremove.
3.UsingtrimstickC4755orequivalent,separatethe
bezel(4)fromthetrimring(5),ifequipped.
4.Removethescrews(2)andusingtrimstickC4755or
equivalent,separatethetrimring(5)fromtheshifter
console(6).
5.Lookinsideandnotepositionoftheretainingbosses.
6.Usingspecialtool9857PowerOutletRemover(4),in
sertthetoolforcingbosses(1)outofbase.
7.Pulloutthebase(3)throughmountingringbygently
rockingpliers.
8.Disconnecttheelectricalconnector.
