To configure the alerting method, use the following commands beginning in global configuration mode. | telephone device specifies it, to provide or expect |

| caller ID information following the first ring at the |

| receiving station. This is the default setting. |

| Enter 2 to provide or expect |
|
| during the long ring pause following two short |
|
| rings. This setting is used in Australia and the |
|
| United Kingdom. |
