Note
Connectingto an accessory fuse
preventsthe unit from being left
onaccidentally, and also
permitsoperating the unit
withoutrunning the engine.
Note
Inpositive ground vehicles the
redwire goes to the chassis and
theblack wire is connected to
theignition switch.
Note
Beforeinstalling the CB radio,
visuallycheck the vehicle’s
batteryconnection to
determinewhich terminal,
positiveor negative, is
grounded(positive is the
largerof the two) to the
engineblock (or chassis).A
negativelygrounded vehicle
hasits negative lead
groundedto the chassis.
Ina negative grounded vehicle, connect the
redlead of the DC power cord to an accessory
12volt fuse.
Connectthe black lead to the negative side of
thevehicle. This is usually the chassis.Any
convenientlocation with a good electrical
contact(remove paint) may be used.

Plugpower cable into back of unit marked
“Power”. Be sure to observe polarity markings.
Mountthe microphone
bracketon either side of
theunit (driver ’sleft)
usingtwo screws
supplied.Bracket should
beplaced under the dash
somicrophone is readily
accessible.

Attachthe 4-pin microphone cable to
receptacle,on the front of unit and install unit
onbracket securely.
