■■Install heat shield in position as shown. ■■Always use genuine Coleman mantles. ■■Tie mantles around grooves in burner.

■■Distribute folds on mantle evenly. Cut off surplus string 1/4" (0.6 cm) from knot.

■■For INSTASTART™ electronic ignition lanterns, be careful that mantle does not snag on electrode.
