The operation of any snow thrower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, whichcan result in se- vere eye damage. Always wear safety
glasses or eye shields while operating the snow thrower.
We recommendstandard safety glasses or a widevision safety mask for over your glasses.
Manual before operating
,_ WARNING: Read Owner's machine. Never direct dis-
charge toward bystanders. Stop the engine before unclogging discharge chute or auger housing and before leaving the machine.
TO STOP YOUR
SNOW THROWER
. To StOl_'throwing snow, release the
auger drive lever. See Figure 17.
2.To stop the wheels, release the traction drive lever.
3.To stop the engine, push the
throttle control lever to off and pull out the ignition key.

TO CONTROLSNOW DISCHARGE
1.Turn the crank assembly to set the direction of the snow throwing. See Figure 18.
2.Push the remote chute lever for-
ward to discharge the snow high and far. Pull the remote chute le-
ver back to discharge the snow down.

HOW TO MOVE FORWARD AND BACKWARD
1.To shift, release the traction drive lever (left hand) and move the speed shift lever to the speed you desire. See Figure 17. Ground speed is determined by snow condi- tions. Select the speed you desire by moving the speed shifter lever left into the appropriate notches on the shift lever plate:
Speeds 1,2 - Wet, Heavy
Speed 3 - Light
Speed 4 - Very Light
Speed 5,6 - Transport only
2.Engage the traction drive lever (left hand). As the snow thrower starts to move, maintain a firm hold on the handles, and guide the snow throw- er along the clearing path. Do not attempt to push the snow thrower.
3.To move the snow thrower back-
ward, move the speed shifter lever right into first or second reverse and engage the traction drive lever (left
hand).
IMPORTANT: Do not move the speed shifter lever while the traction lever is down.
TO THROW SNOW
1.Push down the auger driver lever
(right hand). See Figure 17.
2.Release to stop throwing snow.
