Démarrage du moteur

MISE EN GARDE Ne jamais faire tourner le moteur à l’intérieur ou dans un endroit fermé sans aération adéquate. Les gaz d’échappement du moteur contiennent du monoxyde de carbone, un gaz toxique, sans odeur.

IMPORTANT : S’assurer que la batterie est bien entretenue, complètement chargée et posée de façon appropriée avant le démarrage.

•Ouvrir la soupape de coupure de carburant. La tourner dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’elle s’arrête.

·Tirer la commande d’étranglement jusqu’à la position d’étranglement ‘CHOKE’.

REMARQUE : Aucun étranglement n’est nécessaire pour un moteur chaud. Pousser la commande d’étranglement vers l’intérieur pour démarrer un moteur chaud.

MISE EN GARDE : Il faut absolument débrancher toute charge de la génératrice avant de la mettre en marche afin d’éviter d’endommager de façon permanente les appareils branchés.

Démarrage électrique :

·Placer l’interrupteur d’arrêt/marche/démarrage ‘OFF/RUN/ START’ en position de démarrage ‘START’.

REMARQUE : Une fois le moteur en marche, l’interrupteur restera en position de marche ‘RUN’.

Démarrage à rappel :

·Placer l’interrupteur d’arrêt/marche/démarrage ‘OFF/RUN/ START’ en position de marche ‘RUN’.

•Saisir la poignée du démarreur et tirer lentement la corde jusqu’à ce qu’on sente une résistance. Laisser la corde retourner lentement. Tirer ensuite rapidement la corde sur toute la longueur du bras. Laisser la corde retourner lentement. Répéter au besoin.

REMARQUE : SI LE NIVEAU D’HUILE DU MOTEUR EST INSUFFISANT, LE MOTEUR NE DÉMARRERA PAS. VÉRIFIER LE NIVEAU D’HUILE ET EN AJOUTER AU BESOIN.

·Une fois que le moteur est chaud, pousser graduellement la commande d’étranglement vers l’intérieur, à la position sans étranglement.

IMPORTANT : Lors d’un démarrage initial, laisser la génératrice fonctionner sans charge pendant 5 minutes afin de permettre au moteur et à la génératrice de se stabiliser.

Arrêt du moteur

•Débrancher toutes les charges électriques.

•Placer l’interrupteur ‘OFF/RUN/START en position ‘OFF’.

•Fermer la soupape de coupure de carburant.

IMPORTANT : Ne jamais entreposer le moteur lorsqu’il y a du carburant dans le réservoir, à l’intérieur, dans un endroit fermé sans aération adéquate ou dans un endroit où les gaz de carburant risquent d’atteindre une flamme nue.
