FUSE
Beforeservicing,repairing,or inspecting,alwaysdisengagePTO (BladeEngageknob),setparkingbrake,stopengineand remove to preventunintendedstarting.
Afuse isinstalledin yourtractor'swiringharnessto protectthe trac- tor'selectricalsystemfromdamagecausedbyexcessiveamperage.
Ifthe electricalsystemdoesnot function,or yourtractor'senginewill notcrank,first checkto becertainthatthe fusehasnot blown.It is locatedunderthe hood,mountedbehindthe top of the dashpanelon the supportbar.
Alwaysusea replacementfusewiththe sameamperagecapacityas the blownfuse.
TIRES
Neverexceedthe maximuminflationpressureshownon the sidewall of thetire.
Referto the tire sidewallfor exacttire manufacturer'srecommendedor maximumpsi. Donot overinfiate.Uneventire pressurecouldcausethe cuttingdeckto mowunevenly.
MAINTENANCE
Beforeperformingany maintenanceor repairs,disengagePTO,set parkingbrake,stopengineand removekeyto preventunintended starting.
CLEANING THE TRACTOR
Anyfuel oroil spilledonthe machineshouldbewipedoff promptly.Do NOTallowdebristo accumulatearoundthe coolingfinsof the engine, thetransmission'scoolingfan or onany otherpartof the machine, especiallythe beltsandpulleys.
Deck Wash System
Yourtractor'sdeckis equippedwithawaterport on itssurfaceas part of itsdeckwashsystem.
Usethedeckwashsystemto rinsegrassclippingsfromthe deck's undersideandpreventthe buildupof corrosivechemicals.Complete thefollowingstepsAFTEREACHMOWING:
1.Drivethe tractorto a level,clearspotonyour lawn,nearenough for yourgardenhoseto reach.
Makecertainthe tractor'sdischargechute isdirectedAWAYfromyoul house,garage,parkedcars,etc.
2.Disengagethe PTO(BladeEngage),setthe parkingbrakeand stoptheengine.
3.Threadthe hosecoupler(packagedwithyourtractor'sOperator's Manual)ontothe endof your gardenhose.
4.Attachthe hosecouplerto thewaterporton yourdeck'ssurface.

6.Whilesittingin the operator'spositionon the tractor,start the engineand placethe throttleleverin the FAST(rabbit)position.
7.Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intothe ON position.
8.Remainin theoperator'spositionwiththe cuttingdeckengaged for a minimumof twominutes,allowingthe undersideof the cuttingdeckto thoroughlyrinse.
9.Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intothe OFFposition.
10.Turnthe ignitionkeyto the STOPpositionto turn the tractor's engineoff.
11.Turnthe wateroffanddetachthe hosecouplerfromthewater port on yourdeck'ssurface.
12.Repeatsteps4 through11onthe oppositesideof the cutting deck.
Aftercleaningyourdeckwiththe deckwashsystem,returnto the operator'spositionandengagethe PTO.Keepthe cuttingdeck runningfor a minimumof twominutes,allowingthe undersideof the cuttingdeckto thoroughlydry.
LUBRICATION
Beforelubricating,repairing,orinspecting,alwaysdisengagePTO, setparkingbrake,stopengineandremovekeyto preventunintended starting.
