Troubleshooting

Caution

-Donotforgetthatrepairsshouldonlybecarriedoutbyaqualifiedspecialist.Improperrepairscanleadtoconsiderableequipmentdamage,aswellas dangertotheuser. -Thedishwashermustfirstbedisconnectedfromtheelectricitysupplybeforeanyrepairsorotherworkcanbecarriedout.Switchoffatthemainssocket andwatersupplyandremovetheplug.

Experiencehasshownthatyoucanresolvemostproblemsthatariseduringnormaldailyusageyourself,withouthavingtocalloutaservice engineer.Notonlydoesthissavecostsbutitalsomeanstheapplianceisavailableforuseagainthatmuchsooner.Thefollowinglistofcommon occurencesandtheirremediesshouldhelpyouidentifythecausesofmostproblems.

■Isthereapowerfailure,checkother appliances.

■Checkthefuse.

■Isthewatersupplytapturnedon?

■Isthewaterinlethoseconnected properly?

■Isthepressureofthewatersupply sufficient?

■Istheinlethosekinked?

■Is the filter on the water supply hoseblocked?

■Isthedishwasherdoornotclosed properly?

Ifwaterremainsinsidethe

dishwasher,check...

■thedrainhoseisnotkinked.

■thedrainsyphonisnotobstructed.

■the dishwasher filters are not clogged.

Ifthedishesarenotbeing

cleanedproperly,check...

■thecorrectamountofdetergent hasbeenadded.

■thereisregeneratingsaltinthesalt container.

■the dishes have been loaded correctly.

■theselectedprogrammeissuitable for the type of dishes and the degreeofsoiling.

■allfiltersarecleanandpositioned correctly.

■the spray arm nozzles are not obstructed.

■thereisnothingobstructingthe rotationofthesprayarms.

■thereisrinseaidinsidetherinse aidcontainer.

■therinseaiddispensersettingis correct.

■thedetergentbeingusedisofgood quality and has not lost its effectiveness(forexample,through incorrectstorage,withtheboxleft open).

Ifthedishesshowsignsof

streaking,stainingetc.check...

■therinseaiddispensersettingis notsettoohigh.

Iftherearevisibletracesofrust

insidethetank, check...

■the cap off the salt container is securelyclosedandthatthewater softnersettingiscorrect.

■thecorrectamountofdetergentis beingused.Certaindetergentscan bemorecorrosivethanothers.

■the tank is made of steel and thereforeanyrustmarksaredue toexternalelements(fragmentsof rust from the tank pipes, pots, cutleryetc.)Specialproductsare commerciallyavailabletoremove suchmarks.

Errormessages

Yourdishwasherisequippedwitha safetysystemwhichisabletodetect operatingfaults.

Thesefaultsarereportedbyoneor twowashcycleindicatorlights"E" flashingrapidly.Take noteofwhich lightsareflashing,turntheappliance offandcallCredaServicefortechni- calassistance.

Tapoffalarm

Ifyouhaveforgottentoturnthewater tapon,yourappliancewillremindyou ofthisbysoundingafewshortbeeps forafewminutes.Turnthetaponand yourappliancewillstartupagainafter afewminutes.Wereyoutobeabsent whenthesebeepsaresounded,the appliancewillbeblockedautomatically andwashcycle2and3indicatorlights (wash and rinse)willflashrapidly.Turn theapplianceoffattheON-OFFbut- ton,turnonthewatertapandwaitap- proximately20secondsbeforeturn- ingtheappliancebackon.

Re-selectthewashcycleandthe ap- pliancewillstartupagain.

Ifafterallthechecks,theappliancestill doesnotoperateortheproblemper- sists, call Creda Service (see KEY CONTACTS,backpage)andinform themof:

-thetypeofproblem

-theabbreviationofthemodel name (Mod.)andtherelativenumbers(S/N) writtenontheratingplate located on the inner edge of the door.

Switch off at the mains socket and remove the plug. Turn off the water supply.
