TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNING

Before performing any type of maintenance/service, disengage all controls and stop the engine. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete stop.

Disconnect spark plug wire and ground it against the engine to pre- vent unintended starting. Always wear safety glasses during opera- tion or while performing any adjustments or repairs.

This section addresses minor service issues.

IMPORTANT: Before performing any troubleshooting, make sure: transmission is in Neutral, Neutral latches are locked on the control levers, blade clutch is disengaged and in the “OFF” position.

Engine fails to start

Choke not activated

Place throttle/choke control lever into choke position..

Throttle/choke control not in correct position

Faulty spark plug

Clean, adjust gap, or replace.

Fuel tank empty or stale fuel
