CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

Now that the driver has been installed, you are ready to connect to the Internet. You establish an Internet connection indirectly, using DSL link to your network service provider. Follow the instructions for the driver you have installed and the operating system you use on your computer.

If you have installed the WAN driver, you are using PPP to connect to your network service provider. You will follow a procedure that will be familiar if you have ever installed a dial-up modem.

If you have installed the LAN driver, please skip ahead to the section titled Connect to Internet – LAN Driver Users.

Dial-Up Connection (WAN Driver Only)

The Procedures for the different operating systems are the same though the appearance of the windows differ. The screen captures used for this manual are from a Windows 98 installation.
