Three 33-MHz PCI card slots

One PCI Express x1 card slot

One PCI Express x16 card slot

One PCI Express x4 card slot

Removing and Installing PCI and PCI Express Cards

NOTE: Dell offers an optional customer kit for Audigy II and IEEE 1394 PCI add-in-cards that includes a front-mounted IEEE 1394 connector.

1.If you are replacing a card, remove the current driver for the card from the operating system.

2.Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin."

3.Remove the computer cover.

4.Push the two release tabs on the card retention door from the inside to pivot the door open. Because the door is captive, it will remain in the open position.
