Removing the Processor Thermal-Cooling Assembly

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2. Turn the computer upside down and loosen the three captive screws along with the M2.5 x 5-mm screw. Remove the module cover.
3. Loosen the five captive screws from the thermal-cooling assembly.
4. Remove the fan connector from the system board.
CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such
as a connector on the back of the computer).
