PARENTAL

The Parental option enables parents to prevent their children from watching inappropriate material on a DVD. It reads the ratings for programming, then denies access to programming if the program’s rating meets the limitations you selected. In this case, the user will have to enter a password.

Press the SETUP button 1 to enter the Setup Menu. Press the Navigation (¨) button 2 to select the Main menus ( ), then press the OK/ENTER button 3. Select the parental icon using the Navigation (Ã,¨) buttons 2, then press the OK/ENTER button 3.

Press the OK/ENTER button 1 again to select PARENTAL LEVEL, then enter your password using the Number buttons 2. The default password is 1234.

Once the password has been entered, press the OK/ENTER button 1 again to select PARENTAL LEVEL; the Parental Level screen will appear. Use the Navigation (¹, ) buttons 2 to select the desired rating.

Press the OK/ENTER button 1 to select the rating; the desired rating will then be set, and if DVDs with this new rating or above are played, the user will have to enter a password.

Press the SETUP button 2 to exit the menu.

Follow steps 1 and 2 above. Once the password has been entered, select CHANGE using the Navigation (¹, ) buttons 1 and press the OK/ENTER button 2 to select it.

Enter the desired 4-digit password using the Number buttons 1, then press the OK/ENTER button 2 to confirm. Press the SETUP button 3 to exit the menu.
