El vástago No. 401 se utiliza con la punta de pulir de fieltro y las ruedas de pulir de fieltro. Enrosque la punta en el tornillo cuidadosamente. La punta de fieltro debe

enroscarse hacia abajo en línea recta sobre el vástago de tornillo y se debe girar del todo hasta el collarín.

El vástago No. 402 tiene un tornillo pequeño en la punta y se utiliza con ruedas de corte de esmeril y discos de lijar de esmeril. Las velocidades más altas,

normalmente las máximas, son mejores para la mayoría de los trabajos, incluyendo el corte de acero, que se muestra aquí.

Para cambiar una cinta de lijar en la lijadora de tambor, afloje el tornillo sin quitarlo para contraer el tambor y luego deslice la cinta vieja hasta sacarla. Deslice la cinta de lijar nueva sobre el tambor hasta que esté colocada y luego expanda el tambor apretando el tornillo una vez más.
