Using the DVD player

To replay marked scenes:

1Press MARKER during playback or stop mode. The Marker dialog box opens.

2Press or to select Marker 1-3, then press ENTER. Playback starts from the marked scene.

To cancel the mark:

1Press MARKER during playback or stop mode. The Marker menu opens.

2Press or to select Marker 1-3, then press EXIT. The marker is removed.

Notes:

Marking is canceled when you eject the disc or turn the power off. Some subtitles recorded around the marker may fail to appear.

Repeating DVD playback

To repeat a Title or Chapter:

1Press REPEAT during playback or stop mode. The Play Mode menu opens.

2Press ENTER repeatedly to select Chapter or Title.

3 Press REPEAT again to make the menu disappear.

The unit automatically starts to repeat playback after finishing the current title or chapter. In stop mode, press PLAY to start repeat playback.

4To resume normal playback, open the Play Mode menu again, then select Off.

Using A-B Repeat

A-B Repeat lets you repeat a specific segment of a DVD between two selected points.

To repeat a specific segment of a DVD:

1Press A-Bduring playback. The start point is selected.

3To resume normal playback, press A-Bagain. Off” appears on the screen.

Notes:

Some discs may not work with the A-B Repeat feature.

In A-B Repeat mode, subtitles near point A or B may not appear.

Changing the soundtrack language

You can select the language when you play a multilingual disc.

To select a different soundtrack language:

1Press AUDIO during playback. The current soundtrack language is shown on the screen.

2Press AUDIO repeatedly until the desired language is selected. The on-screen display disappears after a few seconds.

Notes:

If the desired language is not heard after pressing AUDIO several times, the language is not recorded on the disc.

The alternate soundtrack language is cancelled when you eject the disc and the initial (default) language will be heard if the disc is played back again.

Displaying subtitles

While playing a DVD, you can turn on subtitles and select the subtitle language.

To turn subtitles on, select the subtitle language, or turn subtitles off:

1Press SUBTITLE repeatedly during playback to cycle through the available subtitle languages.

Stop when you reach the language you want. The on-screen display disappears after a few seconds.

2To turn subtitles off, press SUBTITLE again repeatedly until Off is selected.

Notes:

The selected subtitle language is cancelled when you eject the disc. Some features may not work on some DVDs. You may not be able to turn

subtitles on or off or change subtitles. While playing a DVD, the subtitle may change when you eject the disc or change the title.

In some cases, the subtitle language is not changed to the selected one immediately.

Changing the viewing angle

When playing back a disc recorded with multiple angles, you can change the viewing angle.

To change the viewing angle:

1Press ANGLE during playback. The current angle is shown on the screen.

Playback starts at the point (A) that you selected. Playback stops at the end point (B), then returns to point A automatically and starts again.

2Press ANGLE repeatedly until the desired angle is selected.

Note: Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to change the angles, even if multiple angles are recorded on it.
