OPERATOR'S MANUAL
STARTING COLD ENGINEWARNING DANGER
Blades should not move at idle. If blades move, readjust carburetor according to Carburetor Adjustment instructions in the manual or see your ECHO dealer, otherwise serious personal injury may result.
1.Ignition Switch - Start/Run. (All Models)
Move Ignition Switch lever/ button away from the STOP position.
2.Close Choke - Cold Start.

3.Primer - Pump Bulb. (All Models)
Pump primer bulb until fuel is visible in the “Clear” fuel return line.
4A. Starting
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area. Grip front handle interlock. Place knee (light pressure) against upper drive shaft to hold power head on the ground. Pull starter rope until engine fires.
NOTE
Ignition Interlock Lever in front handle must be gripped for the engine to start and/or to continue to run.
4B. Starting
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area, clear area and pull starter rope until engine fires.
4C. Starting
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area. Firmly grip the rear handle and depress and hold the "Ignition/Throttle Interlock". Pull the starter rope until engine fires.
NOTE
Idle/Start Interlock" must be held tight against the grip or engine will stop at idle.
5.Open Choke - Run (All Models)
Push choke lever back to "OPEN - RUN" position. Restart engine if necessary and allow to warm up running at idle for several minutes.
